... #197

1. While the cat's away no-one does the dishes.

2. ...but coming to home to sleep in my own bed is absolutely fabuloso!

3. Children are very expensive no matter HOW old they are.

4. The first thing I hear is "What's for dinner?" when I get home from work or shopping or what have you.

5. This may seem odd, but I really feel like a piece of roasted pumpkin right now.

6. But I'll settle for someone else to cook tea and that seems like a fine idea to me!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to unpacking my bags from a week away, tomorrow my plans include re-filling the cupboards (how could one person eat so much??) and Sunday, I want to sleep in then celebrate my friend's birthday by going out for what she think is lunch but I'll know is really breakfast!

Friday Fill-ins #196

1. One of my strongest beliefs is that everyone has a talent for something.

2. I'd really like to take part in things related to Halloween because I like witches and I love pumpkins but..... why, WHY do the creepy black spiders have to be so huge!

3. The sky is cloudy with a threat of rain and wind and cold, so put on that warm and waterproof coat, find your woolly scarf and come out and play.

4. Reading a good book beside the fire in my living room is comforting to me.

5. I always thought I'd be living in South East Asia by now.

6. I put on my furry suit, practised my musical howling, polished my fangs and then I went outside to look at the full moon.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting home earlier than usual, tomorrow my plans include finishing the ironing from the last two weeks because we've run out of clothes and Sunday, I want to pack my suitcase for a week away with school camp!

Friday Fill-ins #195

1. Wow, it's not Friday anymore...I'm getting worse!

2. My garden after the rain is always beautiful.

3. My favorite way to start a day is to lie in bed and listen to Red Symons.

4. My grandfather had been out in the garden all day, pruning and cutting and weeding until at afternoon-tea time he walked in the door holding a pumpkin.

5. I look out my window and see one of the cats staring at me reprovingly because I've been too busy to open the door and let him in.

6. Wishing I was closer to retiring is what I've been thinking about lately.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to cooking dinner for my friends, tomorrow my plans include buying door prizes for the staff dinner and Sunday, I want to have my favourite breakfast (see last week)!

4. Poached eggs, smoked salmon, grilled asparagus and hollandaise is what I like to have as a treat for breakfast, just once a year is enough.

5. The hobby I enjoy most is reading.

1. My back could be SO much better if I slept properly..

2. Spring has sprung and everything in my garden has suddenly gone wild.

3. Leaves are falling all around, but only because I attacked the hedge with the clippers.

4. What was that?  Something about forgetfulness?

5. Healing is a glorious thing and it sneaks up on you.

6. Eating out is what I've been up to lately!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to wishing Michelle a belated happy birthday, tomorrow my plans include washing the outdoor furniture to be ready for eating outside and Sunday, I want to find lots of presents at the Healesville market!
