1. Soup and a bread roll make a quick and easy dinner.
2. Yesterday I finished "Salvation Creek" by Susan Duncan and "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barberry is the book I'm reading right now, except that I'm not yet because I haven't finished these fill-ins.
3. July brings back memories of flying to Naxos to visit my friend, and landing at a tiny airport in brilliant sunshine.
4. That the solution was to eat more chocolate was obvious.
5. They say if you tell your dreams to a strange lady sitting behind a velvet draped table in a darkened room, she'll pretend to tell you your fortune.
6. My advice is never to think it over because nothing ever looks as good in hindsight.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to meeting friends and going to a play at the local theatre, tomorrow my plans include doing the washing if it doesn't rain and Sunday, I want to catch the train to see the Dali exhibition in town!
The black cat reads voraciously, leaping from book to book, seeking always to lose herself in the pages.... What to read next? What to choose from the piles beside the chairs? Holidays measured by the days spent reading, evenings saved from the wasteland of television by stories spun in the imagination.

Friday Fill Ins #132
1. The last thing I ate was a slice of coffee scroll and a cup of Vanilla dragon pearl tea.
2. A book on old marbled end-papers is something I recently bought.
3. When it rains, it washes all the dirt off the paving and refreshes everything outside my window.
4. My son was the first person I talked to today.
5. Hugs are essential!!.
6. On really cold days, I like to wear long socks and slippers, my old yellow Tasmanian polar-fleece jacket, and an old pair of jeans, but then I have to add sitting by the open fire with a good book to read and a cat on my lap for extra comfort.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to ordering pizza from my son's workplace and sharing it with friends, tomorrow my plans include going to the market to buy my fruit and vegetables and Sunday, I want to try and forget that its the last day of the term holidays!

Friday Fill-ins #131
1. When I heard that ridiculous air-horn I knew my son was finally home.
2. Chocolate and a good book is my very best medicine.
3. It's late, but who cares, I'm still eating Easter eggs.
4. Winter always.
5. My eyes have seen too many new books and I'm leaving this book shop now before my credit card melts.
6. Stilton smells strongly.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up with my friend Ann, tomorrow my plans include having lunch with my parents and Sunday, I want to plant the things I bought from the nursery!
